THE REGISTRAR’S OFFICE

The   Registrar’s Office is the coordinating/engine room for all the units of the Registry in the College.  The office essentially coordinates the day to day administration of the College especially as regards to the co-ordination of activities of the Registry as a whole and in carrying out (implementing the decision of the Management on the smooth running of the College).

 

The Unit also serves as custodian of official documents relating to Government policies, circular, correspondence and other related management papers.

 

MODUS OPARANDI

 

The Unit operates tandem with the Registrar in ensuring the smooth running of the administrative machinery of the College.  The highlights of the activities are as follows:

 

i.   Handling of issues on general administration

ii.   Coordinating the operations of the other units of the Registry as a department          

iii.  Servicing the Management Committee, Statutory and other Standing Committee of the College

SCHEDULE OF DUTIES

 

Though there are specified schedules assigned to every member of staff in the Unit in accordance with their designations, practically, the functions overlap within the office thus resulting to team work occasionally.  This style is result oriented.

 

GOVERNING COUNCIL

 

The Registrar, Secretary to Council is saddled with among other responsibilities, the duty of interpreting and implementing the decisions of the Governing Council.  This function is carried out in conjunction with Council Affairs Unit with the full support and commitment of staff of the Registrar Office.

Mrs. V.O. Atoyebi became the first female Substantive Registrar on 16th July, 2012.  She is a graduate of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, where she bagged her first degree in B.A. (Ed.) History.  She later proceeded to the University of Ibadan for M.Ed. in Educational Management with bias in Personnel Administration in 1994.   She is also a member of the Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria.  She has attended several Conferences, Seminars and Workshops in Institutional Administration and Management.  She joined the services of the College in the year 1989 as Administrative Officer II and rose through the ranks to the position of the Registrar of the College.
